Finding Strength in God: Lessons from Gideon's Journey Day 4
Staying Committed When It's Hard
Devotional
Following God isn't just about making one bold decision - it's about maintaining that commitment even when things get difficult. When opposition comes (and it will), our natural instinct might be to back away. But that's precisely when we need to lean in harder, trusting that God's presence with us is greater than any challenge we face.
Bible Verse
The LORD said to him, 'I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.' - Judges 6:16
Reflection Question
What challenges are testing your commitment to following God's path for your life?
Quote
It's easy to be in when the needle is moving in the right direction. It's easy to be in when you see the improvements happening. It's easy to stay connected with God when things are breaking in your favor. How about when everybody's walking away? How about when things are not yet accomplished? When it seems like it's getting worse and not better? That's when it's tough to be committed.
Prayer
Father, strengthen my resolve to stay committed to You, especially when the path gets difficult. Help me trust Your timing and Your ways. Amen.
