Finding Freedom in Christ: The Transformative Power of Surrender Day 2
Embracing Change
Devotional
Change can be uncomfortable, even scary. Yet when Jesus enters our lives, change becomes inevitable. Think about how water transforms everything it touches - it can soften the hardest soil and carve through solid rock over time. Similarly, Jesus's presence in our lives initiates a transformation that reaches every aspect of who we are. This isn't about superficial adjustments but deep, meaningful change that aligns us more closely with God's purposes. The beautiful part is that while this transformation might challenge us, it's always for our good and His glory.
Bible Verse
"Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.'" - Luke 9:23
Reflection Question
What area of your life has been most resistant to God's transformative work, and why do you think that is?
Quote
When Jesus enters our lives, He doesn't merely observe—He transforms us completely, often in ways that aren't comfortable but are always purposeful.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, give me the courage to embrace the changes you want to make in my life. Help me trust that your transformative work, though sometimes uncomfortable, is always for my good. Amen.
