The Call to Journey

Devotional

At 75 years old, most people are settling into retirement, but for Abraham, it was just the beginning of an extraordinary adventure with God. When God called him to leave everything familiar behind—his home, his community, his comfort zone—Abraham chose to trust and obey. This wasn't just a physical journey; it was a profound step of faith that would change history. What makes Abraham's response so remarkable is that he didn't have a detailed roadmap. He simply had God's promise and chose to believe it was enough. Sometimes we too receive calls from God that seem daunting or unclear. Like Abraham, we're invited to trust God's leading, even when we can't see the full picture.

Bible Verse

"The Lord had said to Abram, 'Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you.'" - Genesis 12:1

Reflection Question

What is God asking you to step away from or step into today, and what's holding you back from taking that first step of faith?

Quote

Let the beginning of your journey start with trusting God. It all starts with believing and trusting in Him.

Prayer

Lord, give me the courage to follow You even when the path ahead seems uncertain. Help me trust that Your plans for me are good, just as they were for Abraham. Grant me the faith to take that first step. Amen.
